Bois de Pologne – Pin raboté traité autoclave, acacia, noisetier
Bois de Pologne · IBP Group
Acacia polygonal stakes are very useful for building fences. They are split along the grain and are stronger than square stakes.
With its different look, this product perfectly complements our whole range of stakes, poles, half-poles and debarked stakes.
Naturally almost rot-proof, acacia is a hardwood that is highly resistant to moisture and external attacks (insects, fungi). With its irregular cuts, it blends ideally into nature.
Yellow-green to golden brown in colour and turning ochre under the effect of weather and UV, acacia is the only European hardwood used in use class 4 without any treatment. The service life of acacia is 20 years in ground contact.
Sourced from European forests, acacia stands out for its low environmental impact compared with exotic alternatives. The absence of treatment and the proximity of its sources make it an ecological wood with a low carbon footprint.
Building fences.
Black locust (false acacia) is also suitable for natural fences: see our hazel paling fences and our acacia, chestnut and hazel comparison (in French).
